To get the static-like performance in dynamic applications, developers of Next.js introduced Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) as “updating static content after you have already built your site”. But the benefits only applied to Next.js apps, and that’s where Layer0 comes in with their platform to provide benefits of ISG to any framework. In this talk, I want to explore what is Incremental Static Generation (ISG), the benefits, the drawbacks, how ISG can be implemented with Nuxt.js and Layer0, extend that idea to different frameworks and finally showcase an awesome example with Nuxt.js.
