As we go deeper into cloud-native applications, microservices are becoming a part of any developer’s life. Together with Kubernetes and service meshes, they became the de facto standard in the industry. However, one question arises with microservices: How to implement distributed transactions in such an environment? In this talk, we will discuss distributed transaction methodologies, talk about real-life scenarios, and provide a hands-on resolution in the Istio service mesh using the Hazelcast application platform.
